For the second time, Saudi Arabia has begun to allow women to sign up for military service, the Anadolu Agency reported yesterday. The decision, which comes as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 social programme was announced by the General Directorate of Public Security. Interested applicants from Riyadh, Makkah, Al-Qusaim and Madina can apply through the government’s electronic portal this week, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the directorate as saying in a statement.

KFC has closed more than half of its 900 UK outlets after delivery problems meant they ran out of chicken. Last week, the fried chicken chain switched its delivery contract to DHL, which blamed "operational issues" for the supply disruption. It was unclear when the delivery problems would be rectified, a KFC spokesperson said.

In response to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that struck the United States last week, Gucci is set to donate $500,000 USD to a gun-control march in Washington. Set to take place March 24, the march is expected to draw around 500,000 attendees taking a stand against the current gun laws in America. In a press release, the Italian fashion house stated, “we stand with March for Our Lives and the fearless students across the country who demand that their lives and safety become a priority, we have all been directly or indirectly impacted by these senseless tragedies.” This is just the latest in Gucci’s continuing social activist movement under creative director Alessandro Michele. Most recently Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2018 campaign commented on the current socio-political climate by referencing the student protests of 1968 France.

Legendary Bollywood actress Sridevi passed away late on Saturday night following cardiac arrest, India media reported. She was 55. Sridevi’s brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor confirmed the death of the first female superstar. Sridevi was reportedly with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi at the time of her death in Dubai. She along with her family was in Dubai to attend the wedding ceremony of a family member. Sridevi Kapoor, born on 13 August 1963 was an Indian film actress and film producer who also worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada films.

A loyal dog has been found dead next to his owner’s grave – having slept there every night for 11 years. Miguel Guzman’s family initially thought the German shepherd named Capitan had run away a few months after Mr Guzman’s death in 2006. But months later, while visiting the cemetery in Cordoba, Argentina, the family found Capitan by his grave. They had no idea how the dog managed to find the cemetery where his master was buried. Fittingly, Capitan died next to Mr Guzman’s body in the Municipal Cemetery of Villa Carlos Paz, at the age of 15.

The rapper who attended the Halloween birthday party in a matching white outfit with his son, Sebastian, was pictured wrapping his arm around Amber Rose. The party was also attended by several kids including Tyga and Blac Chyna's son King who donned a Ferrari suit to the bash. Many are hailing the pair on how they co-parenting, despite the fact that Amber Rose is now dating rapper 21 Savage.
