An Ethiopian international flight which could not land at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu on Sunday due to bad weather, was forced to make a quick u-turn and flew back to Ethiopia, according to Dailytrust.  . The bad weather was occasioned by the harmattan season. The Ethiopian international flight was scheduled to land at the Akanu Ibiam airport by 3pm but when it got there it was not safe and proper for landing, hence it made quick ‘u-turn’ and flew back to Ethiopia. . . The passengers were said to have protested, but their safety and life meant more to the Airport authority and the Ethiopian Airline who later checked all the passengers into a hotel in Ethiopia, according to the airport official.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, (IPMAN), has blamed the current fuel crisis on hoarding of the commodity by some depot owners and petroleum products marketers. In a statement by its National Secretary Mr Danladi Pasali on Thursday in Abuja, it lamented that in spite the availability of the products in the country, some depots owners took advantage of the high demand of the commodity to create artificial scarcity in order to dupe Nigerians. According to the statement, Pasali, speak after a brief meeting with officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) . He called on the Department of Petroleum Resources ( DPR) and other regulators in the petroleum downstream sector to exercise their responsibility by increasing their supervisory role on the marketers at all levels. He reminded the NNPC of the hitches in the current distribution system which allows some depots owners to determine prices on products that belongs to NNPC. NAN ...

A beautiful 21-year-old lady, Miss Tawa Oshunuga, has allegedly killed herself after her lover of four years, called off their relationship via a phone call. The deceased, a makeup artist, was said to have been shocked after the phone call. The incident occurred on Monday, less than 24 hours after she returned from a weekend with her lover. According to The Newtelegraphonline, eyewitnesses say Oshunuga was with friends, when the call from hell came. She allegedly checked the call and realized it was her lover.
