According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Surveillance cameras show what deputies say is Kiondre Zachary coming up behind Detention Deputy D. Hernandez, and then wrapping a cloth towel around his neck. Deputies say Zachary was trying to strangle Hernandez. The two were surrounded by 72 other inmates when it happened. A 3-year-old girl in the hospital with a bad case of the flu, was cheered up by some kindhearted nurses. Madison Austin, is obsessed with "The Hokey Pokey." When her nurses at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill., found out, they decided to throw a dance party to cheer her up. Austin was born with Neuronal Migration Disorder, a rare birth defect that affects brain and muscle development. She’s been in the hospital since early February, when she was diagnosed with the flu and several other infections. SOOO NICE...

PHILADELPHIA –  Pepsi says slumping sales from Philadelphia's new sweetened-beverage tax are prompting this   The company sent out notices Wednesday saying layoffs will occur at plants in north and south Philadelphia and in Wilmington, Delaware,  The Philadelphia Inquirer Dave DeCecco, spokesman for the Purchase, New York-based company that employs 423 people in the city, said the tax has cut sales by 40 percent there. "Unfortunately, after careful consideration of the economic realities created by the recently enacted beverage tax, we have been forced to give notice that we intend to eliminate 80 to 100 positions, including frontline and supervisory roles, in Philadelphia over the next few months, beginning today," DeCecco said. The city blasted the news, with spokeswoman Lauren Hitt saying "the soda industry sunk to a new low today."

The 2,700-acre property near Santa Barbara, California, has been renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch. The listed price represents a significant cut from the $100 million it was on the market for last year.
